(Birmingham, AL, March 5, 2021) — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a crash from March 5 that left one woman dead.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at the Finley Road exit on I-65. Katherine Simrell Conrad, the deceased driver, was exiting I-65 and crashed into a pick-up truck.
Conrad sustained severe injuries in the crash. Authorities transported her to UAB hospital, where she died. She was a 60-year-old resident of Adamsville, a city north of Birmingham.
The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the crash but has not released any information.
