(Huntsville, Alabama April 13, 2022) — On Monday evening, brothers, ages 16 and 11, were tragically killed in a single-vehicle accident.
The the Madison County Coroner Dr. Tyler Berryhill, the crash occurred on Bob Lane near Mt. Lebanon Road around 6 p.m.
According the the Huntsville Police Department, the driver likely lost control of the vehicle after running off the road. The vehicle struck a utility box which caused the vehicle to flip.
The boys were pronounced dead at the scene.
Huntsville City Schools confirmed the 16-year old was a student at Lee High School where he was a basketball player.
A third occupant, a 12-year-old male, was transported to Huntsville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be OK, police said.
Police are investigating the wreck.
