(Mobile, AL, October 9, 2021) — A crash in southern Alabama killed four people last Saturday morning.
The Mobile car accident occurred on Highway 98 around 4:00 AM. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency responded to the collision and later confirmed that four people died: two men, one woman, and a three-year-old child. These individuals were identified as Wilmer Earl Bettis, Alla Marie Bettis, and Scott Hunter Lavender. The child was not named.
Lavender was driving a Ford pickup truck on Highway 98 when he crossed the center line and crashed into the oncoming Ford Expedition driven by Willmer Bettis. Both vehicles caught fire due to the collision.
The authorities have not released any more information about this Mobile, AL fatal car accident, but the ALEA continues to investigate it.
