(Fort Valley, Georgia – July 14, 2024) — A nine-year-old girl was shot while sleeping in her bed at Lakeview Apartments in Fort Valley, GA.
According to the Fort Valley PD, the child was taken to a local hospital by Peach County EMS but then subsequently airlifted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Information about the shooter or how the shooting went down has not been released.
Other shootings have occured at Lakeview Apartments in the past. In June, a shootout between two men happened on the premises.
Hopefully, the apartment complex will get adequate security to keep the residents and guests safe.
