(Lowndes County, Alabama August 14, 2022) — On Thursday morning, Mikayla L. Ramsey, 23, from Coker, Alabama was tragically killed in a crash involving a semi-truck on Alabama 21 near the 102 mile marker, approximately 20 miles south of Hayneville.

According to the Alabama State Troopers, a 2018 Nissan Sentra driven by Ramsey struck a 2020 Freightliner tractor-trailer.

A passenger in the car with Ramsey was taken to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery. The extent of that person’s injuries are not known.
