(Trussville, Alabama – December 20, 2024) — A 52 year-old lady from Trussville was tragically killed on I-59 near 4th Avenue South.

According to Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates, the vehicle driven by April Marie Lindsey caught fire while on the interstate during the morning rush hour. The fiery crash caused both lanes of I-59 to shut down for several hours.

There were no passengers in Ms. Lindsey’s vehicle and no other injuries have been reported.

The Birmingham Police Department are continuing to investigate the crash.
