(Lowndesboro, Alabama, October 28, 2021)— In the early morning of Thursday October 28, 2021, a deadly semi-truck crash claimed the life of a 36-year-old woman from Selma, Alabama.

Annick L. Rellier was fatally injured when her 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer was struck by a 2018 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by John M. Hayes, 32, of Mississippi. The collision occurred around 7:35 AM on U.S. Highway 80 east near the 113.9 mile marker, approximately two miles east of Lowndesboro.

Rellier was pronounced dead at the scene. No additional information is available at this time. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is currently investigating the crash.
