(Tuscaloosa, Alabama August 7, 2022) — On Friday August 5th, a 45-year old woman from Imperial, Nebraska was tragically killed when she was struck by a vehicle while walking down a sidewalk.
According to the Tuscaloosa Police Department, Charlotte Wallin was walking on the sidewalk, when the driver of a car apparently lost control and rolled onto the sidewalk, struck the victim, crossed a median and stopped in opposing lanes.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Jack Warner Parkway and Hackberry Lane. Wallin was first taken to DCH Hospital and then UAB in Birmingham where she died from her injuries.
Tuscaloosa PD continues to investigate the crash.
