(Montgomery, AL, October 4, 2021) — One person died in a car crash near Maxwell Air Force Base.

Police identified the deceased individual as William Ferrell, Montgomery 79-year-old. 

Ferrell died in the two-vehicle crash that involved his 1998 Buick Century and a semi-truck. Ferrell drove the Buick, and his passenger sustained life-threatening injuries. The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured in the collision.

The crash occurred around 1:30 PM near Maxwell AFB.
