(Tuscaloosa, AL, March 19, 2021) — A car crash on Friday afternoon killed one woman and left two teenagers injured.

The crash occurred around 1:00 PM on Joe Mallisham Parkway between a 2019 Nissan Verda and a 2012 GMA Acadia.

The teenager—who was driving the Acadia—struck the Verda that the deceased woman was driving. There was one passenger in the teenager’s car.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency identified the woman as 37-year-old Serrita Monte Turner. Police pronounced her dead at the scene.

The other vehicle’s driver and passenger required medical attention and were taken to DCH Regional Medical Center.

A spokesperson for the ALEA said no additional information or updates are available at this time.
