(Birmingham, Alabama August 8, 2022) — On Sunday afternoon, August 7th, a 72-year-old woman was tragically killed after her vehicle was struck by an Amtrak Train in southwest Birmingham, AL.
The crash happened around 5:12 p.m. at the railroad crossing at 15th Pearson S.W. and Pearson Avenue. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office, the woman killed was Diane Hampton Jones from Birmingham.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office continue to investigate.
