(Birmingham, Alabama – September 22, 2024) — On Saturday night, September 21st, 4 people were tragically killed and 17 injured in a shooting that occured outside of Hush Lounge in the Five Points South neighborhood in Birmingham, AL.
According to the Birmingham Police Department, multiple shooters arrive outside of Hush Lounge on Magnolia Avenue. The shooters got out of their vehicle and began to fire multiple shots into a group of people who were on the sidewalk. After firing around 100 rounds, the shooters got back in their vehicle and fled the scene.
Law enforcement believes that the shooters were carrying out a “murder-for-hire” and that bystanders were hit by the multitude of gunshots.
The four people killed by the murderers have been indentified as:
- 21-year-old Anitra Holloman of Bessemer
- 27-year-old Tahj Booker of Birmingham
- 27-year-old Carlos McCain of Birmingham
- 26-year-old Roderick Lynn Patterson, Jr., of Birmingham
So far, law enforcement have not been able to located the shooters. Both Crime Stoppers and the FBI are each offering a $50,000.00 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest.
