(Trinity, AL, September 20, 2021) – A forklift hit a man in a steel factory on Monday, and the man died.
The fatal forklift injury occurred at Nucor Decatur. The Decatur police responded to the accident. When they arrived, officers found the forklift had hit employee Don Burton. He was conscious when the authorities arrived but had sustained serious injuries in the accident.
The authorities requested air transport for Burton; however, inclimate weather prohibited compliance with their request.
Burton later died at Huntsville Hospital. He was from Texas but working in north Alabama.
The Decatur Police Department has not released any more information about this accident.
