(Dothan, Alabama – April 26, 2024) — Two shootings occured during the month of April at the Westgate Village Apartments in Dothan, AL.
The first shooting happened on April 2, 2024 when a mother was shot through the window while she was in bed with her kids.
On April 25th, a resident of the apartments, Shariah Taylor, reported that she heard multiple bullets fired while she was outside. Fortunately, she and her child were able to reach safety.
According to Lieutenant Scott Owens with Dothan Police Department, the Westgate Village apartments has been “red flagged” due to the multiple shootings.
Hopefully, the residents of Westgate Village can live in safety without the threat of violence.
